Presentation Title: Coal ash disposal facilities: US experience in closing, repurposing, and reclaiming

Benjamin Gallagher leads EPRI’s research program on management of Coal Combustion Products (CCPs) including both beneficial use CCPs in products and management of unused CCPs in impoundments and landfills. In addition, he serves as an subject matter expert on circular economy issues in the energy sector. Ben is a professional engineer with a background in geotechnical engineering and has been working with CCPs for 15 years. He has advanced degrees in engineering and business from University of Missouri-Rolla and University of Alabama-Birmingham.
